LOGLINE: Three Gen-Zers, shaped by the smartphone era and its relentless anxieties, ditch their devices to detox on an analog road trip in search of real conversations, raw experiences, and a sense of self beyond the screen.

SYNOPSIS: u r here is a story of connection, self-discovery, and the search for presence in a hyper-digital world. A group of Gen Zers, weary of TikTok loops and 24-hour news cycles, embark on an analog road trip down a portion of Route 66 and away from the noise of their modern lives. No Google Maps. No Spotify. No Instagram. Just a paper road map, cassette tapes, and point-n-shoot cameras.

As a poetic documentary experiment, u r here unfolds through constructed vignettes, vérité interactions, and personal reflections. Their narrative is accompanied by photographs, 8mm footage, and voice over readings from intimate travel diaries, weaving together the fleeting magic of the moment with deeper themes of self-discovery and belonging. It is a story about redefining what it means to be truly connected in the modern era. As the travelers near journey’s end, their newfound clarity collides with the inevitable return to the digital world they escaped. Do they go back unchanged, or has this journey rewired something deeper?
